A pledge to own the club

Bring United Home

Register what you would pay toward a supporter-owned Manchester United. No money is collected. A pledge does not buy a share, a vote, or a promise of profit.

The pledge

Manchester United is a public company with two classes of shares. Buying what trades on the exchange does not buy control. A register of supporters does not buy it either. It shows, in names and amounts, that fans would fund a serious bid if the owners were willing to sell.

The money stays in your account. The number on this page is what people have said they would commit, not what has been paid. If a purchase ever becomes possible, it will need its own legal structure, a published set of rules, and a fresh decision from each person.

Control, if it is ever won, has to stay with members: one person, one vote, held by a body that cannot sell the club for the benefit of its members. A larger pledge does not buy a second vote.

      About us

Bring United Home is a register of Manchester United supporters who would put their own money toward a supporter-owned club. This paragraph is a placeholder. Replace it with who you are, why you started the register, and how a person can reach you.

      FAQ

      Is any money being taken?

No. A pledge records what you would pay later. Nothing is charged, and the page has no payment button.

Does a pledge buy a share or a vote?

No. It is a statement of intent. A share, a vote, and any legal structure would have to be created separately, and you would be asked again before any money moved.

What is the $10 billion figure?

It is the working target for buying the club and clearing its debt, not cash in hand. The large number is the sum of pledges. Still to raise is that target minus the sum.

      Who can see my details?

Your email, age, and legal name stay off the page. Your display name, country, and amount appear only if you tick the public box.

What if the owners never sell?

The register can still show the scale of support. It does not force a sale, and a pledge does not become a debt you owe.
